One of Julia Roberts' better,newer,movies

This is one of Julia Roberts' better, newer movies. It's not like those late 80s and early 90s take-offs of 1940's romance thrillers where she'd always play the role of a woman screaming "I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME!" at her man

Amazing.

One of those few movies that are simply perfect in every way. The Coen brothers have created (another) masterpiece--the script is lyrical, and the actors deliver their lines with graceful emotion (most notably of which is Gabriel Byrne, whose subtle performance is fascinating); every shot and camera angle is a work of art, and is meshed together perfectly by sharp editing and a superb soundtrack.

Bourne Again

http://braidedthreads.blogspot.com/2008/09/bourne-again.html ... This film promises to reaveal much of what has been hidden through the series--enough to satisfy us, and bring some things full circle. It reemphasizes some of Bourne's culpability in the ruthless person he became, and gives him the chance, if not to redeem himself, at least to be able to grow into someone different. He shows considerable restrain in this movie, as if to hold back the machinery of Bourne-the-killer, who is able to act violently without regret or remorse. He is both capable of violence, and capable of choice, and it is fascinating to watch the intersection of these dual impulses.

The Low Road

The director of "The Pawnbroker," "The Hill" and "The Verdict" is capable of much better than this. While technically impressive (if a bit obvious), it takes us close to a group of unrelentingly contemptible mediocrities without any suggestion of why. Neither pathological study nor morality play, it simply dwells on the lowness of life and drags us down with it.

Best Coen movie ever

There's just not an ounce of fat in this film. About as near-perfect as they come. The dialogue is like hardboiled blood poetry, and the look and mood are killer. Tremendous performances throughout, and the "Danny Boy" scene with Albert Finney getting fancy with a tommy gun is a classic.

You're giving us ultimatums?
Reviewed by Yipperbore for The Bourne Ultimatum at 2008-03-10 16:01:49
How is this for an ultimatum.. give me my money back or else!! Unfortunately I am not sure who to hold accountable for this mess. I can't blame Damon he is like the obidient dog that sits under the table waiting for scraps. I can't blame Julie Stiles for toally being mis-cast (note to Julie, stick to bad dance movies from not on). Guess I have to blame myself for seeing this. Guess I owe myself some money.
