Working with animal rescue, I am slow to watch anything that I think may show animals in pain or being mistreated. I didn't see anything like that in this movie. I enjoyed it, but didn't care for the scene where the animals were being captured and taken away by a woman in a laboratory coat. I was afraid that animal-testing was on it's way, but there was never a hint of it. I loved the wise monkey. Very cute movie.
More visually breathtaking than the original and featuring a more complex story, this film takes chances and the rewards are numerous. While it suffered due to backlash from parents that weren't prepared for the difference between the sequel and the first "Babe," this one deserves another look or a first look if you missed it. Enjoy.
