I remember when I was about 13 years old still watch this movie every halloween ... the little catchy catch phrases and the little jokes and the invisible jokes ... this movie brings a lot of childhood memories back to me. I still will never get old of this movie...
OK, not all of the scenes work, but you have to give it to Spielberg. He really, really wants this movie to be funny. Like REALLY. The movie is literally dripping with ambition, so you have to give it credit for that.
De Niro is at his best! Williams is a tremendous serious actor. A real tear-jerker.....in my all-time top 5 favorites! I normally never watch a movie more than once, but I have watched this true story many times.
