You won't be able to stop laughing!

What little plot there is centers around Groucho becoming the dictator of the fictitious country Freedonia while Harpo and Chicko are sent to spy on him. None of that really matters, however, as this film is really just an exorcise in seeing how much madcap comedy can be shoved into 70 minutes. Jokes, puns, sight-gags, slapstick, musical-numbers, prop-humor, political-satire and other irreverent merriment's fill every frame. A box-office flop in it's day, it has since been hailed as a Marx Brothers masterpiece.

I love The Marx Brothers and this is their best movie in my opinion. Its a classic right up there with the best comedies of all time.

Grant and Dunne are perfect together in this all-time favorite classic screwball comedy. I can and have watched this over and over when I really need a laugh. I agree that the remake has nothing on this original.
