Often slow moving in spots,theres enough suspense and surprises to satisy most viewers. A mysterious person is afoot comitting robbery and murder.Another entry in the old dark house genere.Made 1n 1930,and lilmed in two versions,regular full frame and 65 millimeter wide screen. Both versions are offered on one excellent remastered DVD.There is excellent use of minatures and atmospheric lighting and sets. Chester Morris stars. Many red herrings make their appearences before the real culprit is unmasked.
