I loved the first Alvin and the Chipmunks, so there was a little bit of a high standard. So, I went to this movie, not knowing what to expect. This movie won me over COMPLETELY from the first scene all the way through. After David Seville gets hurt backstage, they are left to be taken care of by their Aunt Jackie and his grandson, Toby. But, when she gets involved in an accident, Toby is left to take care of the Chipmunks. Also, they have to face school. Soon, they are involved in a talent show to help support the school's music program.
Meanwhile, Ian Hawke is living in a basement due to his failure before. Then, he meets the Chipettes and plans to use them to get revenge on Alvin and the Chipmnks. He send the Chipettes to the same school Alvin & the Chipmunks go to. When they meet, it's love at first sight.
I have been thinking about this movie since I saw it on Christmas Eve. This movie is the best movie I saw in the theaters all of 2009. It is amazing. This is a movie that kids should see and that adults should see with them. The Chipmunks are still charming as ever, especially Theodore. I even like how Theodore acts as the peacemaker between Alvin and Simon. The performances are great, the dialogue is funny and amazing, and the plot doesn't get tired. It knows what it wants to do and it is executed so beautifully.
The only flaw I have about this movie is that there isa scene with a beaver that I truly think wasn't necessarily. But that's a minor complaint.
This movie is a prime example of why I love children's movies. This is better than the first two Rugrats movies. This is pure good-hearted filmmaking at its best. Although, I don't think we need a third one, I will certainly check it out if they do make one.
An Alright film

Sure this movie is from Dreamworks Amimation and that it's one of the best animated films yet. But still, Jack Black in this film still doesn't make it a good film. To me, Jack Black is just one actor that I am not a fan In Nacho Libre he makes an OK performance but, in this kind of funny Dreamworks Animation film Kung Fu Panda he doesn't do so great. This Film is a an enjoyable animated film kids 6+ will love, laugh, and enjoy this this film and so will parents( maybe some parents) but mostly a lot of kids and adults will will enjoy this film while having some laughs this film for me is a B- to a C+. It is a funny enjoyable, animated film, but somehow Jack black doesn't really make a voice as Po the lazy, dreaming of being a kung fu master, noddle owner ( with his dad too ) Panda. Maybe Steve Carrell,or Jim Carey could make a good fit for Po the Panda
A monsterous film with big laughs.

Monsters vs. Aliens is a really funny film. It has Resse Witherspoon as the 40 foot tall woman Susan, Seth Rogan as the indestructable and gelantions B. O .B. House's Hugh Lurie as Dr. Cockroach Ph.D, Will Artnett as The Missing Link, Rainn Wilson as the evil Gallaxara, Stehen Colbert as The President of the United States, Kiefer Sutherland as Genral W. R. Monger, and Paul Rudd as (almost Susan's husband) Derek Dietel. This film has a great cast of its charcters. Monsters vs. Aliens is a three and a half bone movie that is really action-packed and that is really funny.
Yes, I'd even take it over the first 'Shrek'. Fun, funny and frenetic, with beautiful and unique animation, 'Kung Fu Panda' still doesn't hold a candle to the very best of Pixar ('WALL·E' so trounces this movie), but of the slew of CGI movies we've seen this millennium, 'Kung Fu Panda' is one of the better ones.
