The bulk of the trailer captures a high-speed motorcycle chase in the highly-stylized computer world of the ENCOM mainframe, with the bikes leaving behind their still-sexy neon ghost trails. This trailer features scarcely any dialogue, and that's okay, because the rip-roaring of the motorbikes' engines and Daft Punk's playfully exciting soundtrack keep you locked into the stimulating beauty of Tron's computer world.

Since this first trailer, Disney has released four more trailers in the last year. Aside from the music video trailer from Daft Punk, these three "official" trailers are all some sort of variation on each other: the son, looking for his long-lost father, gets sucked into game, experiencing the perilous world that's been keeping his family apart. The trailers suggest that Kevin Flynn will sacrifice himself to save his son, since he is already well-entrenched in the mainframe. The second official trailer reveals that Jeff Bridges is playing a dual role, as both Kevin Flynn, and his younger-looking electronic doppelganger.

The story seems to be a tale of retrieval and escape; the reality seems to be the desire to fill seats of 3D theatres in a way not seen since the release of Avatar last year. However simple the plot may be, Disney's Tron: Legacy figures to be, if nothing else, worth a feature-length look.
