Well, it’s that time of year again. You know when we all pretend that we’re all one people regardless of race, creed, or political affiliation and yet – no matter how many times we force ourselves to say “Happy Holidays” – it’s still hard to ignore that 95% of the Western world is swathed in Christmas decorations and the only thing on TV is George Bailey and Rudolph. But, if you forget about the hypocrisy of the season for just a tiny bit, you’ll realize that the holidays aren’t truly about religion or goodwill towards men, they’re really about something much more important – MOVIES!
We all spend the season jonesing for cheesy Christmas movies. We pack the multiplexes to see the best movies of the year (which they always release at X-Mas), and, most importantly, we use these same movies as the perfect way to spend time with our annoying families without actually having to interact with them. Simply put, movies make the Holiday season special.
